A payment request identifies who should pay, what the payment is for, where it should be deposited and the requested amount. The delivery route depends on the recipient.
Before you start
Identify the person or business to request payment from and choose the request type and delivery route offered.
Steps
- Open Payments, then Other and Request payment.
- Search name or phone to choose a Buburuza contact, or choose a saved person/business from Recipients. Use Create if you need to add a recipient.
- In What is this payment for?, enter a clear description. Add Purpose code only when appropriate, then choose Continue.
- In Deposit to, choose Fiat or Crypto and select the intended receiving account or token/network. Use Search in the crypto list.
- Enter the requested amount or select an offered amount preset. Check the displayed minimum and Continue availability. For crypto, check the token amount and fiat equivalent; the unit-switch control changes which unit you enter.
- On Review, verify Request from, contact details, recipient address where shown, Deposit to and Requested amount.
- For the personal email route, choose Send link by email. For the business route, choose Send invoice by email. For a Buburuza contact, use Send link to chat.
- Check Payment link sent!, Invoice sent! or the Payment request card in the chat. Use Download invoice when needed, then Got it or Back to Payments.
Expected result
The displayed result confirms a sent link or invoice, or a request card in chat. Check actual receipt of money separately.
If something does not work
- Continue stays disabled while the required purpose or amount is empty.
- Email is optional during recipient creation, but email delivery requires a usable address. Check the recipient’s contact information before choosing the email route.
- A sent link, invoice or chat request is not proof that funds arrived. Inspect the receiving transaction separately.
- A crypto equivalent can change with the displayed conversion; no rate-lock promise is established by the amount entry.
