Where to use this guide: Buburuza mobile app.
Use these instructions for the selected account when it offers the feature and controls described below.
Your app passcode protects access to the mobile app and sensitive settings. It is separate from your login password and card PIN.
Before you start
Know your current app passcode before using its change flow. If you do not know it, use the recovery option offered for your account instead of guessing.
Steps
- Open Profile, then Privacy & security and App passcode.
- Enter your old six-digit app passcode.
- On Create new passcode, enter the new six-digit code.
- On Repeat new passcode, enter it again.
- Check App passcode is set! on Privacy & security. If the setting is labelled App pin, its confirmation may read Your pin has been changed.
What to expect
Check App passcode is set! or the equivalent App pin confirmation. The saved code is the mobile app passcode, not the card PIN or login password.
If something does not work
- Changing the app passcode does not change your card PIN, login password or wallet-backup password.
- Never share your passcode with support.
- If the old passcode is unknown, the change screen is not a recovery procedure.
- If the app rejects the old passcode or shows an attempt warning, follow the recovery option offered for your account or contact Buburuza Support. Do not keep guessing or share the passcode.
Still need help?
Contact Buburuza Support with the affected setting and error text. Never send a password, PIN, one-time code, recovery code, secret phrase, private key or a screenshot containing them. If you suspect unauthorized activity, use the unauthorized activity and fraud reporting guide.
