Use this guide when a Multi-signature request offers a confirmation for stopping the signing process before approval is complete.
Before you start
Use this guide only when a request presents the cancel-signing confirmation below. Confirm which pending request you are reviewing; it is separate from a payment already sent.
Steps
- While reviewing a Multi-signature request, inspect the transfer details and decide whether to continue signing.
- If the cancellation confirmation appears, read Are you sure you want to cancel? It warns that the owner will not be able to finish the transfer.
- Choose Continue the signing to return to signing, or Yes, cancel the signing if you intend to stop this approval.
- After cancellation, check The signing is canceled.
What to expect
After confirming cancellation, check The signing is canceled for the intended request. This stops the signature approval and does not recall money already sent.
If something does not work
- This cancellation stops the signature approval; it is not a recall of money already sent.
- Check the canceled state before discussing any new signature request with the sender.
- Some request views offer Decline instead. Use the action and confirmation actually shown for the request you received.
