Where to use this guide: Buburuza web account.
The tax-document area shows documents on file and any action requested for your account. Follow the instructions for your account and ask a qualified adviser if you are unsure which tax information is correct.
Before you start
Use the document request shown for your account and provide information that applies to you. Seek qualified guidance if you are unsure which tax answers are correct.
Steps
- Open Settings, then Tax, and inspect the document status: Required, On file, Expires soon, or Action needed.
- If no form is on file, choose Add tax form. Review the form selected for the account and the pre-filled business details.
- Complete the requested form fields. The W-9 interface includes federal tax classification and employer identification number; the W-8BEN-E interface includes entity type and tax ID, with a treaty-benefit control.
- Read the full certification. Confirm that the entered information is correct only if you can make that certification.
- Type the full legal name in Signature and choose Sign and submit. Check the signature confirmation and then the form's status in the Tax area.
- For an expiring form, choose Re-sign form, verify that the details remain accurate, and complete the signature step.
- Use Download for a copy or Update when information needs changing. If the legal name or tax identifier is locked or a mismatch is reported, use the displayed Contact support route.
Expected result
The document area shows its current state, such as On file or Action needed. Download or update the document when those actions are offered.
If something does not work
- Do not guess tax classification, treaty eligibility, or certification answers. Obtain the appropriate professional guidance for the account.
- If the screen reports a name/taxpayer-ID mismatch, review the request before submitting an update.
- A completed signature and the document’s resulting on-file status should be checked separately.
