Where to use this guide: Buburuza mobile app.
An eSIM can be purchased while its overview still says Not installed. Installation, plan activation and remaining data are separate statuses.
Before you start
Select the purchased eSIM you intend to install and follow its current provider and device instructions.
Steps
- Open eSIM and select the eSIM card you want to install. If you have several, swipe to the intended card.
- Check its installation status and the plan listed underneath it.
- Choose Install on the ready screen or on a Not installed card. If you previously chose Install later, return to that card to continue.
- Follow the phone installation instructions actually presented by the app and your device.
- Return to the overview and check for Installed. Review the separate plan status and data information; an Installed label alone does not establish that the plan has activated or connected.
Expected result
The overview can show Installed. Check plan activation and connectivity separately; installation alone does not establish either.
If something does not work
- Add data purchases a plan or additional data; it is not a substitute for installing the eSIM.
- Follow the current provider instructions for your device’s installation, activation, roaming and connection settings.
- Do not delete an eSIM as a routine installation fix. The removal confirmation explicitly warns that active plans will be removed.
- If installation fails, record the displayed error and device details for support before retrying or removing the eSIM.
