Where to use this guide: Buburuza mobile app.
Use these instructions for the selected account when it offers the feature and controls described below.
Deleting an iCloud backup removes that recovery copy. It is a different action from removing the wallet from the app.
Before you start
Before deleting a recovery copy, check that you have another usable recovery method and understand which wallet the backup belongs to.
Steps
- Open the intended wallet’s Settings and its active Backup to iCloud entry.
- Check the backup timestamp and choose Delete.
- Read Are you sure? The warning says you cannot restore from this backup after it is removed.
- Choose Cancel if you need to keep the recovery copy. Choose Delete iCloud backup only when you intend to remove it and understand the warning.
- Return to Settings and inspect the backup status.
What to expect
After the deletion action, inspect the backup status in Settings. Do not expect the removed copy to be available for recovery.
If something does not work
- Do not assume a manual backup exists merely because iCloud backup is active. Check each backup independently.
- The dialog says a new backup can be created; that does not make a lost or deleted copy recoverable.
- Deleting a backup does not establish that blockchain assets were transferred or destroyed.
Still need help?
Contact Buburuza Support with the affected setting and error text. Never send a password, PIN, one-time code, recovery code, secret phrase, private key or a screenshot containing them. If you suspect unauthorized activity, use the unauthorized activity and fraud reporting guide.
