Use these instructions for the selected account when it offers the feature and controls described below.
Add existing wallet offers several import methods. For a secret-phrase import, select the wallet network, name the wallet and enter its existing phrase.
Before you start
Use only a wallet and recovery phrase that belong to you. Keep the phrase private and use the official app’s import screen.
Steps
- Open My wallets and choose Add existing wallet, then Secret phrase.
- Read the safety acknowledgements: only you should know the phrase, it must not have been supplied by a representative, and someone who sees it can steal funds. Choose Continue after acknowledging them.
- On Select network, search for the required network or choose the recommended Multi-coin wallet option when it matches your wallet.
- Choose an icon and enter Wallet name. Enter or paste the Secret phrase into the app’s field, preserving word order and spaces.
- If using the scan option, align the QR code in Scan QR-code. The screen also offers a photo-library icon and Enter code manually.
- For manual code entry, complete the field and choose Confirm. Empty Confirm is disabled.
- Review the intended wallet/network and choose Continue when the fields are complete.
What to expect
After continuing, inspect My wallets for the intended imported wallet and network. If it is absent or an error appears, do not assume that entering the phrase completed the import.
If something does not work
- Only enter your own phrase in the official wallet-import flow. Never send it to support or enter a phrase supplied by someone else.
- The helper describes phrases as usually twelve and sometimes eighteen or twenty-four words; match your original wallet backup.
- After continuing, inspect the wallet list for the intended wallet and network. If import does not complete, contact Buburuza Support with the error text only; never include the phrase or a screenshot of it.
