Use these instructions for the selected account when it offers the feature and controls described below.
The desktop wallet panel offers a Swift route with safety acknowledgments, a passkey-loss check and wallet naming before the device passkey step.
Before you start
Use the Swift option only when it is offered in the web wallet panel. Read its recovery warnings before creating a wallet passkey.
Steps
- Open My wallets and choose Create new wallet, then Swift.
- Read the safety acknowledgments about iCloud Passwords and Keychain, replacement-device access and the consequences of deleting the wallet passkey.
- Answer What happens if passkey is deleted? If Wrong answer appears, choose Try again and reread the warning. On Correct!, choose Got it.
- In Set wallet, choose an icon and enter a wallet name. This layout asks for between 4 and 24 characters.
- Choose Continue and follow the device passkey prompts supplied by the product.
- Check the new zero-balance wallet in My wallets. Hello, new wallet offers Fund my wallet or Skip.
What to expect
After the device passkey step, check the new wallet in My wallets. A zero-balance wallet and the Fund my wallet prompt do not mean that funding has occurred.
If something does not work
- This passkey controls wallet access; it is different from a credential used only to sign in to the Buburuza account.
- Follow the passkey prompts for your operating system and check that your intended recovery access is in place.
- Fund my wallet is a following entry, not proof that the new wallet already contains funds.
