Where to use this guide: Buburuza mobile app and web account; follow the platform labels in the steps.
Check the selected card and its freeze state before changing it. A frozen card offers Unfreeze.
Before you start
Identify the intended card and check its current freeze state. Use the control only when your account or shared permissions allow it.
Steps
- Open Cards and select the intended card by its masked ending and name.
- On the web, choose Freeze card and follow the displayed confirmation. Check the Frozen state.
- On mobile, a frozen card has an icy appearance and offers Unfreeze. If using a shared card, your assigned permissions determine whether the freeze control is available.
- To restore use when appropriate, open the same card and choose Unfreeze or Unfreeze card.
- Check the resulting card state and inspect any affected transaction separately.
Expected result
The selected card shows its resulting frozen or unfrozen state. Inspect any affected payment separately.
If something does not work
- A freeze control is separate from online, international, contactless, or cash-withdrawal settings.
- A frozen card is not a terminated card. Neither a freeze nor an unfreeze should be treated as cancelling a previously authorized payment.
- If card details may be compromised or a payment is unauthorized, use the official support route as well as the available card control.
